Arrgh…. Termites!
There is a saying, “there are two types of homes: those that have termites, and those that will have termites.” That is very true here in Texas. A Texas A&M statistic states that “there are 10 -18 separate colonies of termites for every acre.” Yikes! That means termites are more common than you might think. Termites are the lice of the pest world. People have them, but no one likes to talk about them. And sometimes people have them without even knowing it.
So, what can be done?
The Process of Protection
A detailed, thorough inspection is needed to understand the scope of work required prevent or eradicate an infestation. Inside, outside, under, on top of, and in between, Green Pest Guys checks it all out!
During the inspection, our State Certified Termite Trained Technicians will assess your needs and give recommendations for maintenance to minimize infestations. Based on what is found, these conditions that help promote termite habitat will be discussed:
Soil height with regard to the slab
Construction debris
Proximity of planting beds to the structure(s), etc.
Termites can start with 1/64 of an inch of a crack in a slab and make their way into our home. To put that into perspective, it is the width of a hair!
Treatment options are tailored to your needs. Custom work is necessary because each home offers different challenges stemming from home construction variances and the extent of potential termite damage.
An annual re-inspection is necessary to ensure the absence of termites.
Termite protection gives you peace of mind. Whether you want to prevent an infestation or break the chains of one, Green Pest Guys can resolve your concerns.
